The Next Generation of Turnitin Feedback Studio went live at Teesside University on the 15th of July 2025, this has brought a modern, intuitive interface that makes grading and feedback easier, more consistent, and more inclusive. It allows the academic to deliver meaningful feedback, grade consistently, and support for all learners.  However, some work on the academic staff members’ part is needed to continue using the Rubrics and QuickMarks created in the previous version of Turnitin Feedback Studio.  For more information regarding the new Turnitin Feedback Studio experience, please review the ‘Introducing the new Turnitin Feedback Studio Experience’ blog post released 14.07.25 here.

The following are step-by-step instructions and accompanying video demonstrations intended to guide Teesside University staff through the process of migrating previously created Rubrics and QuickMarks into the new Turnitin Feedback Studio.

If you have created rubrics in the previous version of Turnitin, you can use the data migration service to move your existing Rubrics to the new Rubric Manager. You can run the import multiple times, but each subsequent time will only import newly created Rubrics from the classic experience.
